Earwig: Forficulina auricularia

  • Habitat: Stay in cool dark places like flowers, fruits, wood crevices and pipes and then come out during the night.
  • Size: 12-15mm long
  • Predators/Prey: Earwigs are eaten by many birds, as well as spiders. They like to eat plants and small insects.
  • Population: Life span 1yr
  • Interesting facts: Many people think that earwigs like to crawl into people’s ears. This, however, is not true. They are completely harmless to people.
