Want to know who is behind the Birds and Their Songs module?

It has taken thousands of hours of recording and collecting bird songs and bird calls. For all the recordings, sonograms were generated using Sonogram Visible Speech. More time has been spent drawing the maps and the bird ranges along with writing the descriptions. Who is behind all of this? The answer lies below.

Dr. Pierre Deviche is the man behind the bird recordings you are able to hear. He is a professor in the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University. He has graciously given permission to Ask A Biologist to use the recordings in this module.

Dr. David Pearson is the person that spent countless hours working on the range maps and writing the bird descriptions. He is a Research Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University.

Dr. Biology is the person behind the sonograms and the development of the module.

Finally, the images of the birds are made possible by the photographers in the birding community. We are very thankful for their interest in this project.
