Professor Plum

Genus: Pepsis

Species: Chrysothemus

Also known as the Tarantula Hawk. This wasp is one of the largest in size compared to other wasps and produces a painful sting that may be one of the most painful insect-produced stings known. It hunts a tarantula, paralyzes it and then drags it back to its' home to provide sustenance for developing larvae. I think it's safe to say you wouldn't want to be a tarantula.
