Percent Vaccinated

The polio and measles vaccines are usually given to children, and have long lasting immunity. At the beginning of your simulation, a large portion of the population will already be vaccinated. The pie charts below show you the percentage of the population that will be vaccinated.

The flu virus mutates so quickly that a new vaccine must be developed every year. At the beginning of your simulation, none of the population will be vaccinated. The pie chart below shows you the percentage of people vaccinated by the end of the flu season in an average year. But, the more important value is the continous vaccination rate, or portion of the susceptible population that will be vaccinated per day.
