Participate in Conservation

The local scientists of Naurzum have been studying and maintaining the reserve for nearly twenty years. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, the reserves of Kazakstan have suffered and are suffering many hardships. Therefore, to support the zapovedniki, a local non-governmental ecological organization (NGO) "Naurzum" has been established. This organization designs projects, prepares information booklets and presents environmental education sessions as an effort to teach people about conservation and the importance of the zapovedniki. In this way, support for the zapovedniki is slowly increasing which allows the scientists to continue their work and people to enjoy the unique ecosystem.

You too are helping Naurzum and the other zapovedniki in Kazakhstan by educating yourselves about this area and being aware of different places around the world!
