Information Collected

By its very nature, the Ask A Biologist website receives personal information. How is this information used? Ask A Biologist requests email or snail mail addresses, names, and grade level of the person submitting a question. This information provides the minimum amount of information for our biologists to tailor an answer for an individual. For those using our feedback form, we sometimes like to reply to the individual to clarify what suggestion(s) they have submitted.

The data collected is not stored in any on-line database and is not given or sold to any other agency. At times we do email students and instructors to find out if our answers were of help. This helps us to improve the site.
